Dalip Kumar Choudhary, a cricket enthusiast from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, always dreamt of his son playing the sport. Despite facing economic challenges and limited resources in their small town, Dalip never gave up on his dream. He sent his son, Mukul Choudhary, to the SBS Cricket Academy in Sikar to hone his cricketing skills.

Initially a medium-fast bowler, Mukul discovered his talent for wicketkeeping during a game at the academy. Years later, Mukul found himself in the spotlight during the IPL 2026 auction, with Lucknow Super Giants securing him for Rs 2.60 crore.

Mukul’s journey from the academy to the IPL was not easy, but with the unwavering support of his family, especially his mother and younger sister, he persevered. His hard work paid off as he excelled in Rajasthan’s age-group teams and made a mark in the Men’s State A Trophy.

Despite facing setbacks in his early career, Mukul’s determination and dedication led to him being selected for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he impressed with his batting skills. Eventually, he caught the attention of IPL franchises, with Lucknow Super Giants picking him for the upcoming season.

While Mukul acknowledges the challenges of breaking into the final eleven of the IPL team, he is focused on learning and making the most of the opportunity. Above all, he is proud to have fulfilled his father’s dream and is excited to embark on this new chapter in his cricketing journey.
