Mitchell Marsh, the all-rounder for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), has received clearance to participate in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as a specialist batter. Unfortunately, Marsh had to miss out on Australia’s ODI tour to Sri Lanka and the Champions Trophy 2025 due to a back injury. However, he is expected to join his new team, LSG, in Lucknow next week.

Recent reports suggest that Marsh sought the expertise of a specialist in February, and has been gradually returning to batting in the past few weeks. Despite being purchased by LSG for Rs. 3.3 crore in the IPL 2025 auction, Marsh may only feature as an impact player since he will not be able to bowl due to his injury.

It is worth noting that in the previous season, Marsh faced a similar setback while playing for the Delhi Capitals. After just four matches, he had to return home due to a hamstring injury. With his return to form as a specialist batter for LSG, fans are hopeful that Marsh will be able to make a significant contribution to the team in the upcoming IPL season.
