Melbourne Stars have brought in Adam Milne from New Zealand to replace Usama Mir for the first three matches of the BBL season. Additionally, the Stars are looking for a new captain as Glenn Maxwell is unlikely to be fit for the opening game against Perth Scorchers due to a hamstring injury. Stars are also missing Scott Boland on Test duty and could be without Beau Webster for the first game as he remains with the Test squad. Ben Duckett is also unavailable for the first three games as he completes Test duties, with Joe Clarke stepping in as a replacement. Renegades have signed Hassan Khan, a USA spin-bowling allrounder, while Hobart Hurricanes have recruited Waqar Salamkheil from Afghanistan as a replacement for Rishad Hossain. Salamkheil will play the first six games before joining the ILT20. Both Renegades and Hurricanes are excited about the new additions to their squads and believe they will make valuable contributions to the team.
