Mitchell Marsh, who was dropped for the final Test against India, is set to make his first BBL appearance in almost three years after being included in the Perth Scorchers’ squad to face Melbourne Renegades. Fast bowler Jhye Richardson is also available for a BBL return after being part of the Test squad. Travis Head has confirmed he won’t be playing for Adelaide Strikers.

Marsh returned to Perth following Australia’s series-clinching victory at the SCG, where he was replaced by Beau Webster, who had a remarkable debut. Marsh could have a longer run with the Scorchers if he doesn’t make the squad for the Sri Lanka tour.

Webster could feature for Melbourne Stars in their upcoming games. Other Test players like Steven Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, and Usman Khawaja are also expected to play in the BBL before joining the Sri Lanka tour. Teams that reach the BBL finals will be without these players as they will be on the Sri Lanka trip.
