The BCCI announced on Tuesday that nine additional players have been added to the Player List for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 auction scheduled for December 16. This update brings the total number of players on the list to 359, up from the original 350 names released earlier in the day.
Among the new additions are Manisankar Murasingh from Tripura, Swastik Chikara formerly of Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Virandeep Singh from Malaysia, representing the only player from an Associate nation in this auction. The other players added to the list include Chama Milind, K.L. Shrijith, Ethan Bosch, Chris Green, Rahul Raj Namala, and Virat Singh.
A total of 1390 players initially registered for the auction, with 359 ultimately shortlisted. Franchises will be vying for 77 available slots, including 31 spots reserved for overseas players. The highest reserve price for players remains at Rs. 2 crore, with 40 players opting to enter the auction at this price point.
The announcement was made on December 9, 2025, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting auction for the IPL 2026 season.
