Jake Fraser-McGurk is expected to be recalled to South Australia’s Shield side after being named in the XII to face Tasmania in Hobart. Spencer Johnson will not be playing back-to-back Shield games due to toe soreness after bowling 45 overs in the day-night game against WA last week.

Maddinson, Zampa, and Sean Abbott will miss the Blues’ final Shield game before the BBL break. Blake Nikitaras, Tanveer Sangha, and Lachlan Shaw have been named in the 12-man squad, with Jack Edwards captaining the team. Maddinson underwent surgery, casting doubt on his participation in the upcoming BBL season.

Western Australia will welcome back skipper Sam Whiteman from injury, while Ashton Turner is ruled out with a side strain. Lance Morris and Brody Couch are also named in the squad, with left-arm wristspinner Hamish McKenzie added as well.
