Lucknow Super Giants made their presence felt at the IPL 2026 auction in Abu Dhabi on December 16 with a budget of Rs 22.95 crore. The team successfully acquired the services of six players, including three uncapped Indian players and one each from Sri Lanka, South Africa, and Australia.

Wanindu Hasaranga, the former Sri Lanka T20I captain who was previously with RR in IPL 2025, will now be playing for LSG in the upcoming season after being signed for Rs 2 crore. South African fast bowler Anrich Nortje was also roped in by LSG for Rs 2 crore in the auction.

LSG further bolstered their squad by adding uncapped Indian players Mukul Choudhary and Naman Tiwari, who were signed for Rs 2.60 crore and Rs 1 crore respectively. Akshat Raghuwanshi, another uncapped Indian batter, joined the team for Rs 2.20 crore.

Additionally, LSG made a significant investment in Australian wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis, securing his services for Rs 8.60 crore. However, it is noted that Inglis may not be available for the entire season.

The acquisitions made by Lucknow Super Giants at the auction have added depth and talent to their squad, giving them a strong foundation for the upcoming IPL 2026 season.
