Lucknow Super Giants have finalized their list of retained and released players in preparation for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 auction, scheduled to take place on December 16 in Abu Dhabi. The deadline for submitting final squads to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was November 15, and all 10 franchises have complied.
Among the players released by Lucknow Super Giants are Aryan Juyal, David Miller, Yuvraj Chaudhary, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Akash Deep, Will O’Rourke, Ravi Bishnoi, Shamar Joseph, and Shardul Thakur, who has been traded to Mumbai Indians.
On the other hand, the retained players for Lucknow Super Giants include Abdul Samad, Ayush Badoni, Aiden Markram, Matthew Breetzke, Himmat Singh, Rishabh Pant (captain), Nicholas Pooran, Mitchell Marsh, Shahbaz Ahmed, Arshin Kulkarni, Mayank Yadav, Avesh Khan, Mohsin Khan, Manimaran Siddharth, Digvesh Rathi, Prince Yadav, Akash Singh, Mohammed Shami (traded in from Sunrisers Hyderabad), and Arjun Tendulkar (traded in from Mumbai Indians).
Lucknow Super Giants currently have a purse of Rs. 22.95 crore remaining and 6 slots left, with 4 of them designated for overseas players.
