The BCCI has officially released the schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, with Kolkata Knight Riders set to face off against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the opening match. The Lucknow Super Giants, led by Rishabh Pant, will kick off their campaign against Delhi Capitals on March 24 in Vishakapatnam.
In the previous seasons, the Lucknow Super Giants finished third in the league stage in their first two seasons but were eliminated after losing the Eliminator. However, they struggled in the last campaign, finishing seventh in the points table.
The IPL 2025 will feature each team playing 14 matches during the league phase, totaling 70 matches. The playoffs are scheduled to take place from May 20 to May 25, with Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator set to be held on May 20 and 21 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The tournament will conclude at the iconic Eden Gardens, with Qualifier 2 and the final taking place in Kolkata.
