Liam Livingstone, the England all-rounder, expressed his excitement after being bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL auction. He believes that RCB will be a better fit for his playing style in the upcoming season. Livingstone made his IPL debut in 2019 with Rajasthan Royals and spent the last three seasons with Punjab Kings, where he scored 827 runs in the T20 league. However, he was released ahead of the mega auction and was bought by RCB for 87.5 million Indian rupees after a bidding war with Chennai Super Kings.

Livingstone is looking forward to playing for RCB, especially in home games at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, known for producing high-scoring matches due to shorter boundaries. He is excited about the passionate fan base and considers RCB one of the biggest franchises in the IPL. Livingstone believes that Bangalore’s smaller stadium will suit his game better compared to Punjab.

He expressed his admiration for RCB’s batting trio of Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, and AB de Villiers and is eager to play alongside them. Livingstone is currently in top form for Bangla Tigers in the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament. He recently captained England in the absence of Jos Buttler and displayed his batting prowess with a century in the ODI series against the West Indies.

Looking ahead, Livingstone is excited about the changes in English cricket under Brendon McCullum’s leadership for the upcoming Champions Trophy. He is optimistic about the future and is looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
