The IPL 2025 mega auction recently took place in Jeddah, with a total of 577 players available for signing. The 10 teams participating in the auction spent a whopping Rs 639.15 crore to acquire 182 players, making it the biggest IPL auction ever.

Among the players sold, 13 were Australian cricketers, with some big names earning hefty paychecks. Pacer Josh Hazlewood was signed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for Rs. 12.50 crore, while Mitchell Starc joined Delhi Capitals for Rs. 11.75 crore. Marcus Stoinis also had a successful day, being acquired by Punjab Kings for Rs. 11 crore.

Interestingly, Punjab Kings, coached by former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting, bought five out of the 13 Australian players. The full list of Australian players sold in the IPL 2025 Auction includes Mitchell Starc, Jake Fraser-Mcgurk, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Josh Hazlewood, Adam Zampa, Josh Inglis, Tim David, Spencer Johnson, Aaron Hardie, Nathan Ellis, and Xavier Bartlett.

Overall, the auction saw some big money being spent on talented players, setting the stage for an exciting IPL season ahead.
