Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore to victory against Punjab Kings in a fiery match where he scored an unbeaten 73 runs. During the game, Kohli had a heated moment with teammate Rajat Patidar after a mix-up in running between the wickets. Despite the confusion, they managed to survive and eventually win the match with seven balls to spare.

Former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar commented on the incident, noting Kohli’s frustration with Patidar’s lack of speed in running between the wickets. Aakash Chopra also pointed out that Kohli showed no interest in whether Patidar was there or not during the mix-up.

Kohli’s impressive performance included his fourth half-century of the IPL season, surpassing David Warner for the most 50-plus scores in the tournament’s history. Devdutt Paddikal also played a crucial role in the victory with his fiery 61 runs.

Both Bangalore and Punjab now have the same points in the IPL standings, with 10 points each from eight matches, separated only by net run rate. The win marked Bangalore’s fourth consecutive victory away from home.
