Royal Challengers Bengaluru bounced back to winning ways by defeating Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets in their IPL 2025 fixture at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday. Virat Kohli played a stellar innings, scoring an unbeaten 62* off 45 balls, leading RCB to chase down the target of 174 runs with ease. Phil Salt also made a significant contribution with a quickfire 65 off 33 deliveries before being dismissed by Kumar Kartikeya.

Kartikeya, who had a brief misunderstanding with Kohli during the match, clarified that everything was fine between them. After dismissing Salt, Kartikeya gestured with a ‘Come on’ which caught Kohli’s attention. However, the situation was quickly resolved as Kohli acknowledged Kartikeya’s performance.

Kohli then formed a solid partnership with Devdutt Padikkal, who remained unbeaten on 40* off 28 balls. RCB captain Rajat Patidar praised the Kohli-Salt partnership, highlighting the positive and aggressive cricket that RCB aims to play.

The victory was a much-needed boost for RCB, with Kohli’s captaincy and batting prowess proving instrumental in their success in the match.
