The IPL 2025 schedule has been announced, with the season opener on March 22 between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The tournament will feature 74 matches played over 65 days at 13 venues including traditional home venues and additional locations like Guwahati, Dharamsala, and Vizag. The final will be held on May 25 at the Eden Gardens, with Qualifier 2 on May 23. The playoffs will take place from May 20 to 25. Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will kick off their season on March 24 in Visakhapatnam. The world’s largest cricket stadium, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, will host its first game on March 25 between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). Afternoon matches will start at 03:30 PM IST, while evening games will begin at 07:30 PM IST. Delhi Capitals and KKR are yet to announce their captains, while Rajat Patidar will lead RCB and Shreyas Iyer will captain Punjab Kings. Rishabh Pant will lead Lucknow Super Giants. Punjab Kings will play some home matches in Dharamsala and others in Mullanpur, Punjab.
