The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), originally scheduled for April 6, has been rescheduled to April 8 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. This decision was made following a request from the Kolkata Police to the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) due to the deployment of personnel across the city for festivities.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the date change in a release, stating that the game will now take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 3:30 PM. The rest of the IPL schedule remains unchanged, with only one match scheduled for April 6 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans at 7:30 PM.

April 8 will be a double-header with the KKR vs. LSG match in the afternoon at the Eden Gardens, followed by Punjab Kings hosting Chennai Super Kings in New Chandigarh in the evening. Both KKR and LSG started their 2025 campaign with losses but bounced back with wins in their subsequent matches against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals, respectively.

The rescheduling of the KKR vs. LSG match will allow for better coordination of resources and ensure a smooth conduct of the game amidst the ongoing festivities in Kolkata. Fans can look forward to an action-packed day of IPL cricket on April 8 with two thrilling matches lined up.
