Kolkata Knight Riders made headlines in the IPL 2026 auction by securing Australian all-rounder Cameron Green for a whopping ₹25.2 crore, outbidding Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings. They also acquired Matheesha Pathirana for ₹18 crore and Finn Allen for ₹2 crore. Additionally, Tejasvi Singh was bought for ₹3 crore, while Prashant Solanki and Kartik Tyagi were signed for ₹30 lakhs each.

KKR retained Ajinkya Rahane, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, and Harshit Rana before the auction. CEO Venky Mysore expressed his satisfaction with acquiring Green, emphasizing his value to the team and the positive impact he will have under new power coach Andre Russell.

The team also added Mustafizur Rahman, Rachin Ravindra, Tim Seifert, Akash Deep, Rahul Tripathi, Dakash Kamra, Sarthak Ranjan, and more to their squad through the auction. The previously retained players include Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Anukul Roy, Manish Pandey, Rinku Singh, Rovman Powell, Umran Malik, Vaibhav Arora, and more.
