This summer, Kayo Sports has seen a surge in cricket fans tuning in to watch BBL13, making it the most streamed series of all time. Fox Sports confirmed that over 558 million minutes of BBL content had been streamed, showing a 16% year-on-year growth in viewership. The most streamed moment was Aaron Finch’s farewell match, with over 170,000 viewers watching his final BBL innings.

Kayo Minis have been a hit this season, with a 112% increase from BBL12. The world-class commentary team, including Adam Gilchrist and Mark Howard, has elevated the viewing experience. BBL crowds have also increased by 27%, with over 800,000 people attending regular season matches.

The BBL has seen six sold-out matches and five games with over 40,000 fans, a feat not achieved since BBL06. Cricket Australia noted an increase in average attendance for most BBL clubs. Alistair Dobson, the Big Bash boss, expressed satisfaction with the large fan turnout.

As the BBL finals approach, Fox Cricket will broadcast every match live on Foxtel and Kayo Sports. The Brisbane Heat will face the Sydney Sixers in The Qualifier, with the winner hosting The Final. The Perth Scorchers will play the Adelaide Strikers in the Knockout fixture, with the winner advancing to the Challenger match. Fox Cricket remains the exclusive broadcaster for all BBL matches until the 2030-31 season.
