Former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, currently a part of Karachi Kings in PSL 10, has had his joining date officially announced. It has been confirmed that he will join the Karachi Kings squad on either April 23 or 24 and will be available for all remaining matches.

Both Williamson and David Warner were selected by Karachi Kings in the PSL 10 draft, with Warner being available for the full season and appointed as the team’s captain. However, Williamson was initially unavailable due to contractual commitments with his IPL franchise, which he had informed the franchise about during the draft. Despite this, Karachi Kings still picked him, highlighting his importance to the team.

During Williamson’s absence, Under-19 player Saad Baig was selected as a replacement through the draft and featured in the playing XI against Multan Sultans. Karachi Kings’ first match saw them chasing down a massive target set by Multan, with James Vince’s brilliant batting performance, including the first century of PSL 10, playing a crucial role in securing the team’s first win of the tournament.

With Williamson set to join the squad after April 24, Karachi Kings will further strengthen their lineup for the remaining matches.
