Josh Brown, breakout star of the Big Bash League, has secured his first international T20 contract with the Chattogram Challengers in the Bangladesh Premier League. While Brown was delivering a match-winning performance in the BBL final, his manager was finalizing the deal for him to join the Challengers. The franchise has announced that Brown will be arriving in Bangladesh shortly to join the team for their upcoming match in Sylhet.

After his impressive innings of 140 runs, which included a record-breaking 12 sixes, Brown received offers from both the BPL and the UAE’s ILT20. The 30-year-old batsman expressed his interest in playing in overseas leagues and is eager to showcase his big-hitting talents on a global stage.

In addition to Brown, English batter Phil Salt has also been added to the Chattogram Challengers team. The team lost Pakistani player Mohammad Haris due to issues with his country’s board, but they have strengthened their lineup with the inclusion of Brown and Salt.

This contract in Bangladesh comes on the heels of another Big Bash breakout star, Jake Fraser-McGurk, earning a call-up to the UAE T20 league and being selected for the Australian ODI squad. Brown’s international contract marks a significant milestone in his career, and he is determined to continue his impressive form in the T20 format.
