Mumbai Indians’ head coach Mahela Jayawardene has confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will be available for the upcoming Indian Premier League match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He mentioned that Bumrah has been training and is expected to play in the game. Bumrah joined the team after completing his sessions with the National Cricket Academy and has been cleared by the physios to play.

During the team’s practice session, Bumrah bowled for over 30 minutes, facing off against openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton. After a break, he returned to bowl to finishers Mitchell Santner and Corbin Bosch. Rohit Sharma, who missed the last game due to a knee injury sustained during training, also participated in the practice session and appeared to be in good form.

Jayawardene mentioned that Rohit’s injury was just an unfortunate impact on his leg while batting and that he will undergo an assessment before the match. Despite the injury scare, Rohit is expected to play in the upcoming game against RCB. The team is confident in their squad’s readiness for the match and is looking forward to a strong performance from both Bumrah and Rohit.
