A significant trade deal is in the works between the Chennai Super Kings and the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. Talks involve a potential exchange of players, with Ravindra Jadeja from CSK and Sanju Samson from RR being key figures. The deal hit a snag when Rajasthan expressed dissatisfaction with the inclusion of Sam Curran from Chennai. Despite initial complications, negotiations have resumed with CSK offering two players in exchange for Samson.
Samson’s desire to move to CSK became apparent ahead of the mini-auction in December, prompting Rajasthan to approach Chennai. After initial complications, talks resumed with CSK willing to part ways with Jadeja and Curran. Rajasthan, however, is keen on acquiring Sri Lanka’s Matheesha Pathirana, complicating the deal further.
Jadeja’s potential move to Rajasthan was discussed with input from MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Stephen Fleming. After Jadeja agreed to the transfer, Rajasthan also pushed for Shivam Dube, but Chennai proposed Curran as an alternative. Negotiations continue as both teams seek to finalize the trade deal.
