The upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) auction for the 2026 season is set to take place on December 16, 2025, in Abu Dhabi. Originally, 1,355 players had registered for the mini auction, but the final shortlist has been narrowed down to 359 players by the organisers.

Notable inclusions in the final shortlist are Ireland’s Josh Little and Malaysia’s Virandeep Singh, who are the sole representatives from their respective countries. The country-wise distribution of players in the shortlist is as follows: India (244), Afghanistan (10), Bangladesh (7), England (22), Ireland (1), Malaysia (1), New Zealand (16), South Africa (16), Sri Lanka (12), West Indies (9), and Australia (21).
