The player retentions for the upcoming IPL 2025 auction have been finalized with 46 players retained by the 10 teams. Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals retained the maximum of six players each, while Punjab Kings chose to retain only two uncapped players, giving them the largest purse for the auction. Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, will have Rs. 41 crore left after retaining six players, including five capped players. The auction purse for each team has been revealed, with Punjab Kings leading the pack with Rs. 110.5 crore, followed by Royal Challengers Bangalore with Rs. 83 crore, and Delhi Capitals with Rs. 73 crore. Chennai Super Kings have Rs. 55 crore, Mumbai Indians have Rs. 45 crore, Kolkata Knight Riders have Rs. 51 crore, Sunrisers Hyderabad have Rs. 45 crore, Gujarat Titans have Rs. 69 crore, and Lucknow Super Giants also have Rs. 69 crore at their disposal.
