The BCCI has confirmed that the mega auction for the IPL 2025 season will take place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at the Abady Al-Johar Arena. The auction will clash with the India vs Australia 1st Test, but due to time zone differences, the broadcasts will not overlap. There are a total of 1,574 players, including 48 capped India players and 272 capped international players, registered for the auction. Additionally, 1,224 uncapped players, including 30 players from Associate nations, will also be up for grabs. The country-wise breakdown of players includes 29 from Afghanistan, 76 from Australia, 13 from Bangladesh, 52 from England, and others from various countries. Details about the auctioneer and start time of the event are yet to be announced by the BCCI. KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Shreyas Iyer are among the top names expected to be sought after during the auction.
