The Chennai Super Kings have retained five key players for the IPL 2025 season. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravindra Jadeja top the list with Rs 18 crore each, followed by Matheesha Pathirana and Shivam Dube. MS Dhoni has also been retained for Rs 4 crore. The team has taken advantage of the new uncapped player retention rule to secure their players. This rule now includes international players who have not played for India in the last five years or held a BCCI central contract during that time.
