The first match of the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will see defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) facing off against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 22. The full schedule for IPL 2025 was revealed, with Qualifier 1 and Eliminator scheduled for May 20 and May 21 in Hyderabad, while Kolkata will host Qualifier 2 and the Final on May 23 and May 25 respectively.

The tournament will consist of 74 matches played across 13 venues over a span of 65 days, including 12 double-headers. Last year’s runner-up Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will kick off their campaign against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on March 23, followed by a clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) on the same day.

Key matches include MI vs. CSK on April 20 and CSK vs. RCB on March 28 in Chennai and May 3 in Bengaluru. Other teams like Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will also begin their journey in Visakhapatnam on March 24, while Punjab Kings (PBKS) will face Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad on March 25.

The league stage will conclude on May 18 with GT taking on CSK in Ahmedabad and LSG playing against SRH in Lucknow. Additionally, some teams will play their home games in alternate venues, such as RR in Guwahati, DC in Visakhapatnam, and PBKS in Dharamsala. Guwahati and Visakhapatnam will host two games each, while Dharamsala will host three matches.
