The Melbourne Renegades are gearing up for a rematch against the Hobart Hurricanes after suffering a defeat just eight days ago. The upcoming Monday night clash will also mark Beau Webster’s return to his hometown team, the Hurricanes.

Webster, who hails from Snug in Tasmania, has been temporarily released from Australia’s Ashes Test squad to participate in the game. This will be his first match for the Hurricanes since BBL|06. The Renegades are determined to avenge their previous loss and secure a victory in this highly anticipated showdown.

In preparation for the match, the Hurricanes have made three key inclusions to their squad. Matthew Wade, Hugo Burdon, and Webster himself will be joining the team, with Tim David ruled out due to a hamstring injury. Jackson Bird and Will Prestwidge have been omitted from the 14-man squad.

On the other side, the Renegades have brought back Caleb Jewell while leaving out Fergus O’Neill. The bat flip is scheduled for 6:30 pm AEDT, followed by the first ball at 7:15 pm local time.
