The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) recently held a meeting with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) officials following allegations of blackmail and threats made by the franchise against HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao. SRH claimed that Rao used coercive tactics regarding ticketing demands, prompting the franchise to involve the BCCI and IPL Governing Council for assistance.

In response, SRH accused Rao of locking a corporate box meant for Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka before a match, in an attempt to pressure them into providing additional complimentary tickets. However, HCA denied these allegations during the meeting.

After discussions, both parties agreed to adhere to the existing tri-party agreement between SRH, HCA, and BCCI regarding ticket allocations. It was decided that the allocation of complimentary passes to HCA would remain unchanged, and both parties committed to working together to enhance the spectator experience at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. SRH CEO Shanmugam was also involved in reaching these resolutions, ensuring professional cooperation between the two entities moving forward.
