Former India captain Kris Srikkanth criticized young pacer Harshit Rana for his on-field antics during a recent match against Sri Lanka. Rana’s performance was underwhelming as he leaked 54 runs in four overs with an economy rate of 13.50. Despite showing the ability to bowl over 145 kmph, he struggled with his line and length. Srikkanth accused Rana of engaging in unnecessary “filmy gimmicks” instead of focusing on his bowling, stating that such behavior reflects a poor attitude. The former captain emphasized the importance of bowling well rather than indulging in showboating. He praised spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy for their performance in the game, highlighting their role in defending the 202-run chase. Srikkanth also mentioned that Sri Lanka exposed the Indian bowling to some extent during the match. Overall, he criticized Rana for his attitude and urged him to focus on his performance rather than theatrical displays.
