The Mumbai Indians training camp for the upcoming Indian Premier League season received a boost with the arrival of Champions Trophy 2025-winning India captain Rohit Sharma and team member Hardik Pandya from Dubai. The duo joined several other players at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai for the preparatory camp.
Domestic players like Naman Dhir, Robin Minz, KL Srijith, Raj Angad Bawa, P.S.N. Raju, Ashwani Kumar, and Vignesh Puthur were seen in action during the camp. Overseas players Bevon Jacobs and Reece Topley also joined the squad, adding to the team’s depth.
Head coach Mahela Jayawardene emphasized the importance of intensity during the pre-season and expressed his determination to prepare the team well for the tough season ahead. The coaching staff for MI this year includes Paras Mhambrey, Lasith Malinga (bowling coaches), J. Arun Kumar (assistant batting coach), and Carl Hopkinson (fielding coach).
MI is set to kick off its 2025 campaign against Chennai Super Kings at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on March 23. With a strong squad and experienced coaching staff, the Mumbai Indians are gearing up for another exciting season in the IPL.
