Gujarat Titans fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has left the ongoing IPL season and returned to South Africa due to personal reasons. The South African player had participated in the first two matches of IPL 2025 for Gujarat Titans before his departure.
A statement released by the team mentioned that Rabada had to go back to South Africa to attend to an important personal matter. As a result, he was not available for Titans’ recent victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
In his debut match for Gujarat Titans, Rabada took one wicket but gave away 41 runs in the team’s defeat against Punjab Kings. In the following game against Mumbai Indians, he managed to pick up another wicket while conceding 42 runs.
Gujarat Titans had acquired Kagiso Rabada for a hefty sum of Rs. 10.75 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. His absence will be felt by the team, but his personal matters take precedence at this time. The franchise and fans wish him the best and hope to see him back on the field soon.
