The Gujarat Titans, led by Shubman Gill, have taken a proactive approach by resuming their training at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad despite the uncertainty surrounding the resumption of the IPL 2025 season. The team had a lengthy net session that included foreign players like Kagiso Rabada and Sherfane Rutherford, along with Indian stars Gill and Mohammed Siraj. The team and Gujarat Cricket Association officials confirmed that the session lasted for three hours. The Titans, who are currently at the top of the table with 16 points from 11 games, are just one win away from securing a spot in the playoffs. In other news, the Punjab Kings’ coaching staff, led by Ricky Ponting, chose to stay in India after the tournament was suspended, contrary to earlier reports. The support staff stayed back in Delhi after the BCCI arranged a special train for the PBKS players. Punjab currently sits in third place in the standings with 15 points from 11 games.
