Lucknow Super Giants are reportedly set to appoint former Australian cricketer Tom Moody as their new Global Director of Cricket. This move is aimed at enhancing the franchise’s cricket operations across different tournaments and regions. Moody will not only oversee the LSG’s IPL campaign but will also be in charge of other Super Giants teams such as Durban Super Giants in SA20 and the group’s Manchester-based team in The Hundred.

Moody, who has a successful coaching record, is expected to bring his expertise to help LSG achieve success in various leagues. This appointment marks Moody’s return to the IPL after his previous stint with Sunrisers Hyderabad. At Lucknow, he will take over the role previously held by Zaheer Khan, who departed from the franchise after just one season.

LSG has been struggling in recent years, missing out on the playoffs and finishing seventh in IPL 2025. The franchise is hopeful that Moody’s appointment will help reset their trajectory and provide a consistent strategy across all Super Giants teams. Overall, this move signals LSG’s ambition to adopt a more integrated approach to cricket management and achieve sustained success in different leagues.
