Dishant Yagnik has been named the new fielding coach for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the upcoming IPL season. Yagnik, a former wicketkeeper-batsman who had a successful domestic career playing for Rajasthan and appearing in 25 IPL matches from 2011 to 2014, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

After retiring from playing, Yagnik transitioned into coaching and was previously the fielding coach for the Rajasthan Royals. However, the Royals decided to part ways with him last year after a disappointing season. Now, Yagnik is ready to bring his expertise and keen eye for fielding excellence to the KKR team.

KKR has revamped its support staff for the upcoming season, with Abhishek Nayar as the Head Coach, DJ Bravo as the Mentor, Shane Watson as the Assistant Coach, Tim Southee as the Bowling Coach, and Andre Russell as the Power Coach. With this new coaching lineup, KKR is gearing up for a successful campaign in the IPL.

The announcement of Yagnik’s appointment was made on January 21, 2026, signaling the start of a new chapter for both him and the KKR team. Fans are excited to see how his coaching skills will impact the team’s performance on the field in the upcoming season.
