The official launch of the new book ‘Leo—The Untold Story’ on Chennai Super Kings took place in a star-studded event on Sunday, with former CSK skipper M.S. Dhoni in attendance. The book, written by P.S. Raman, a senior advocate and former TNCA vice president, was unveiled by former India cricketer C. D. Gopinath, while musician Anirudh Ravichander received the first copy. Former India skipper K. Srikkanth felicitated R. Ashwin, who recently retired from international cricket.
In his welcome address, Raman shared the inspiration behind the book and read a passage from it. Gopinath emphasized the importance of maintaining cricket as a gentleman’s game, praising Dhoni for his calm demeanor on the field. He commended Dhoni for his conduct and urged younger players to emulate his sportsmanship.
Ashwin, who will be rejoining CSK after a decade, expressed his gratitude to Dhoni for bringing him back to the team. He spoke about the team’s continued focus on cricket and its impact on his career. CSK head coach Stephen Fleming, assistant coach Michael Hussey, and CEO K.S. Viswanathan were also present at the event.
