Delhi Capitals have made a significant signing by bringing in Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman to replace Australian opener Jake Fraser-McGurk for the remainder of the IPL 2025 season. Fraser-McGurk, who played in six matches for the Capitals this season, will not be available for the rest of the tournament, which is set to resume on May 17.

Rahman, who previously played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016 and Delhi Capitals in 2022 and 2023, joins the team after a stint with Chennai Super Kings last season. The left-arm pacer has a wealth of experience, having played 106 T20Is for Bangladesh and taking 132 wickets in the format.

This signing adds depth to the Capitals’ bowling attack and provides them with a skilled bowler who can make an impact in the latter stages of the tournament. Rahman’s ability to swing the ball and deceive batsmen with his variations makes him a valuable asset for any team.

With Rahman’s arrival, Delhi Capitals will be looking to strengthen their squad and make a strong push for the IPL title this season. Fans can expect to see the Bangladeshi pacer in action soon as the team gears up for the remaining matches of the tournament.

Stay tuned for more updates on Rahman’s inclusion and how he contributes to the Delhi Capitals’ campaign in the IPL 2025 season.
