Young leg-spin bowling all-rounder, Vipraj Nigam, recently made his debut for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League 2025 match against Lucknow Super Giants. The 20-year-old player from Uttar Pradesh was bought for Rs. 50 lakh during the mega auction in Jeddah last year.
Nigam caught the attention of many during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25, where he showcased his skills by picking up eight wickets with an economy rate of just over seven. Despite not being required to bat regularly, he impressed with a quickfire 27 off just eight balls alongside Rinku Singh, helping his team reach a target of 157 runs against Andhra.
In a pre-season intra-squad match for Delhi Capitals, Vipraj Nigam displayed his batting prowess by scoring 54 runs off 29 deliveries, which included seven fours and two sixes. Although he is still relatively new to the domestic circuit, Nigam has already shown a lot of potential and is being touted as one of the upcoming talents in Indian cricket.
