The second day of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Player Auction saw the pacers making big money, with 25% of the total Rs. 175.20 crore spent on seven pace bowlers. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, and Akash Deep were among the top earners, with Bhuvneshwar fetching Rs. 10.75 crore from Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Chennai Super Kings had a quiet start but ended the day on a high note, securing players like Sam Curran, Anshul Kamboj, and Gurjapneet Kaur to strengthen their pace battery. They filled their squad with 25 players, leaving only Rs. five lakh in their purse.

Punjab Kings spent the most over the two days, with a total of Rs. 110.15 crore, while Sunrisers Hyderabad struggled with a tight purse but managed to add strong domestic backups.

Surprisingly, Shardul Thakur, Mayank Agarwal, and Prithvi Shaw went unsold, while Sarfaraz Khan remained unsold for the second auction in a row. However, Sarfaraz’s younger brother, Musheer, was signed by Punjab Kings at the base price.
