The Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals have had a tough IPL season, with both teams facing multiple setbacks and struggling to turn their fortunes around. As they prepare to face each other in a dead rubber match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, the stakes are low as neither team can do much more than possibly avoid finishing last in the tournament.

Currently at the bottom of the points table with six points after 12 matches, MS Dhoni’s CSK will be looking to salvage some pride in their final game. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals, placed ninth with the same number of points, will also be hoping to end their season on a positive note.

Despite the overall disappointment, there have been some bright spots for both teams in the form of young and inexperienced players. CSK has seen 17-year-old Ayush Mhatre step up in the absence of regular skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, showcasing his talent with 163 runs in five matches. South Africa’s Dewald Brevis has also made a significant impact since joining the team as an injury replacement.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have been impressed by the performances of 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who has shown great promise with his batting skills. With one last opportunity to shine this season, Suryavanshi will be looking to make a mark against CSK.

As both teams look towards the future, these young players offer hope and potential for a brighter season ahead. Despite the challenges faced this year, there is optimism for a better showing in the next IPL campaign.
