As for the slots left for each team going into the auction, here is the breakdown: Chennai Super Kings have 20 slots (7 overseas), Royal Challengers Bengaluru have 22 slots (8 overseas), Sunrisers Hyderabad have 20 slots (5 overseas), Mumbai Indians have 20 slots (8 overseas), Delhi Capitals have 21 slots (7 overseas), Rajasthan Royals have 19 slots (7 overseas), Punjab Kings have 23 slots (8 overseas), Kolkata Knight Riders have 19 slots (6 overseas), Gujarat Titans have 20 slots (7 overseas), and Lucknow Super Giants have 20 slots (7 overseas).
The auction is expected to be a highly competitive event as teams look to strengthen their squads and build a winning combination for the upcoming season of the IPL.
