Chennai Super Kings has announced a partnership with the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (Chennai) Limited (MTC) for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2025 season. This collaboration aims to provide free bus tickets to fans travelling to home matches.

Fans holding tickets for Chennai Super Kings’ home matches will be able to travel in MTC buses (non AC) for free starting three hours before the match. The match tickets will serve as the travel tickets for the fans. This initiative is a continuation of last year’s successful collaboration between the two organizations.

K.S. Viswanathan, the Managing Director of Chennai Super Kings, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that it is part of the team’s efforts to create a seamless and fan-friendly experience for supporters. The goal is to ensure that fans can enjoy the matchday excitement from the moment they leave their homes. The team encourages fans to use public transport and attend matches at Chepauk Stadium.

In 2024, approximately 8000 fans used the bus services from different parts of the city for each game. With this new partnership, Chennai Super Kings hopes to see even more fans utilizing public transport to attend matches. The team’s first match at Chepauk Stadium is scheduled for March 23 against Mumbai Indians, who are also five-time IPL champions.

Overall, the collaboration between Chennai Super Kings and MTC aims to enhance the matchday experience for fans and promote the use of public transport for attending games at the stadium.
