Cameron Green has emerged as a top contender for the IPL 2026 Auction in Abu Dhabi, being one of the 45 players listed at the maximum base price of INR 2 crore. The list includes only two Indian players, Venkatesh Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi. With 1,355 players initially registering for the auction, only 77, including 37 overseas players, will ultimately secure contracts for the 19th edition of the IPL, with each franchise limited to a squad size of 25.

Green, who missed the previous mega auction due to injury, is expected to draw significant interest from teams like Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings, who have sizeable auction purses. KKR, in particular, sees Green as a prime target after releasing Andre Russell and Venkatesh Iyer. On the other hand, Chennai may view Green as a potential replacement for Sam Curran.

The upcoming auction on December 16 will see the 45 players with a base price of INR 2 crore vying for contracts. Notable names on the list include Steve Smith, Mustafizur Rahman, and Liam Livingstone. The final squad selections will be based on the wish lists submitted by franchises by the December 5 deadline.
