South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch has been banned from participating in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for one year after withdrawing from the tournament to join the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the suspension, citing a breach of contractual obligations with PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi. Bosch was initially picked by Zalmi in the draft but chose to sign with Mumbai Indians instead due to scheduling conflicts between the IPL and PSL. The PCB issued a statement announcing the ban and emphasized that Bosch would not be eligible for the next year’s PSL.
Bosch, who has previously played in various leagues worldwide, expressed regret over his decision and issued a public apology to the people of Pakistan, Peshawar Zalmi fans, and the cricket community. Despite the ban, Bosch remains a part of the Mumbai Indians team. The PSL season is set to begin on Friday, featuring international players like David Warner, Daryl Mitchell, and Rassie van der Dussen. While Bosch will miss the 2026 edition of the PSL, he hopes to return in the future with renewed dedication and fan trust.
