The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season is set to resume on May 17 with a match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Bengaluru. The final has been rescheduled to June 3 as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The season was suspended due to tensions between India and Pakistan, but with the ceasefire announced, the tournament can now continue.

The revised schedule includes a rematch between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals on May 24 in Jaipur, after their previous match was stopped in Dharamsala. Qualifier 1, Eliminator, and Qualifier 2 will take place on May 29, 30, and June 1 respectively. The playoff venues are yet to be announced.

The remaining matches will be played at six venues, with four matches at neutral venues. A total of 17 matches will be played across 6 venues, culminating in the final on June 3. The BCCI has ensured the safety and security of all stakeholders and reaffirmed its commitment to completing the season.

Gujarat Titans currently lead the points table, followed by RCB, Punjab Kings, and Mumbai Indians. Players like Sai Sudharsan and Prasidh Krishna are leading the Orange Cap and Purple Cap standings respectively. Teams like Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, and KKR are also in contention for the playoffs, while SunRisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, and Chennai Super Kings have been eliminated from the race.
