The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has introduced new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Indian team, which are mandatory and non-negotiable. These guidelines cover various aspects such as travel, net sessions, luggage allowances, and the presence of family members during tours. The rules will be implemented immediately, starting from the 2025 Champions Trophy. The touring manager has been tasked with ensuring that the players comply with these SOPs. One of the key rules includes restricting personal staff members during tours unless approved by the BCCI. Additionally, players will have to travel together in the team bus and stay for the entire duration of practice sessions. Commercial shoots and endorsements during tours are also prohibited. The Indian team is set to depart for Dubai on February 15 for the ICC event from February 19 to March 9. These strict guidelines aim to promote discipline, unity, and professionalism within the team.
