The BCCI has taken disciplinary action against LSG bowler Digvesh Singh Rathi for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during a match against PBKS. Digvesh was fined 25% of his match fee and received a demerit point for his celebratory gesture after dismissing PBKS batter Priyansh Arya. He admitted to the offence and accepted the match referee’s sanction. Sunil Gavaskar criticized Digvesh’s actions, stating that such gestures are unnecessary. Despite the controversy, Digvesh performed well, taking 2 wickets for 30 runs. PBKS won the match, moving to the second spot in the IPL points table. LSG will aim to bounce back in their upcoming fixtures.
