The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has introduced new guidelines for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. Players are now required to travel in the team bus to training, similar to international matches. Family members and friends are no longer allowed in the Players and Match Officials Area during practice and match days. Practice sessions have been limited to two nets and one side wicket on the main square, with open nets banned. Fitness trials are prohibited on the main square during matches. Players must wear Orange and Purple caps for the first two overs of the match broadcast. A meeting with all team captains will be held on March 20 in Mumbai before the IPL 2025 opener on March 22 in Kolkata. Additional rules include displaying credentials on match days and avoiding damage to LED boards during practice. The BCCI aims to clarify these regulations further during the upcoming meeting with team captains.
