Cricket Australia has revealed the fixtures and venues for the upcoming Big Bash League, with the 15th edition kicking off on December 14. Every match will be broadcast live on Fox Cricket, with 10 exclusive games. The regular season will feature matches every evening except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, culminating in the final on January 25.

The season opener will see the Perth Scorchers take on the Sydney Sixers at Perth Stadium, while a grand final rematch between the Hobart Hurricanes and the Sydney Thunder will take place on December 16. Notable matches include the MCG derby on January 4, the Sydney derbies on December 20 and January 16, and the New Year’s Eve clash between the Adelaide Strikers and the Brisbane Heat.

Marvel Stadium will host only three BBL matches this season, with criticism over its playing surface last year. Australian Test players are expected to be available for the BBL finals this season, with a gap in the international schedule between the Ashes Test in early January and the T20 World Cup in February.

The schedule for the 2025/26 Big Bash League includes matches at various venues across Australia, leading up to the final on January 25. CA’s general manager of Big Bash Leagues, Alistair Dobson, expressed optimism about the availability of Test players for the latter part of the season and the finals.
