Unmukt Chand, the captain of India’s U-19 World Cup-winning team in 2012, is one of three associate players included in the IPL 2025 Auction player list revealed on Friday. Chand, now 32 years old, relocated from India to the USA in 2021. He has previously played for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), Rajasthan Royals, and Mumbai Indians in the IPL, with his last appearance in 2016 for MI. Chand is categorized as an uncapped wicketkeeper-batter in the auction list.
Joining Chand in the auction are his USA teammate and fast bowler Ali Khan, as well as Scotland’s Brandon McMullen, who is a seam bowling all-rounder. All three players have set their base price at Rs 30 lakh. The mega auction is scheduled to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25.
