Former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has dismissed the possibility of Sanju Samson moving to the Chennai Super Kings from the Rajasthan Royals, stating that the chances are slim. Samson expressed his desire to leave the Royals, prompting them to explore trade options with other franchises. Chennai showed interest in Samson, even meeting with him during the Major League Cricket season in the US. However, Ashwin believes that a trade involving Samson would leave the Royals struggling to get equal value in return, citing the example of Ravi Bishnoi. He mentioned that Chennai rarely engages in trades and is unlikely to part with key players like Ravindra Jadeja or Shivam Dube, making a move for Samson improbable. Reports suggest that Rajasthan Royals owner Manoj Badale approached Chennai for a trade deal involving Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, or Shivam Dube, but Chennai is unwilling to part with any of them. As a result, the potential high-profile move of Samson to Chennai appears to be at a standstill.
